Tired of workout song lists that are all the same? Me too! “Til I Collapse” is great, but sometimes you need something fresh.
As a side note, make sure you have some good headphones – music isn’t the same without them. These ones from Nuforce are awesome and they have excellent bass, a long cord and can go extremely loud. I have been using them for years.
Anyway on to the music. Here are 5 excellent gym songs that you’ve probably never heard before.
1) Gramatik – Who Got Juice
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjeHMY8w8zY
This is the second track off Gramatik’s 2010 album No Shortcuts. Most of his music isn’t like this (although it’s still good) and I wish he’d put out another album like it.
Best part: The first drop at 0:55
2) Opiou – Space Party (feat. The Fungineers, BluRum13 & Russ Liquid)
I listen to this song every time I’m warming up, as it gets me energized and in the mood. When it’s time for heavy lifting, I listen to “harder” and more intense stuff.
Best part: Saxophone solo at 3:04
3) Pretty Lights – I Can See It in Your Face
It’s my boy Pretty Lights.. what more needs to be said. This song always gives me energy and a solid bounce to my step. Great to groove to in between sets.
Best part: 2:37 (but really the whole thing)
4) Memphis Bleek – Alright (Ratatat remix)
This is from Ratatat’s Remixes Mixtape Vol. 2 where they overlaid classic hip hop tracks with the beats from 9 Beats. It really is a unique and there are several more great tracks on this album.
Best part: Verse starting at 2:25
5) Diplo – Express Yourself (feat. Nicky da B)
This has been my go-to deadlift song for as long as I can remember. It has an unusual sound, but it gets me more fired up than anything, check it out.
Best part: The drop at 0:31
