Three years ago I was depressed and had no idea what to do with my life. I was enrolled in a useless degree and couldn’t shake a number of bad habits. I got laid, but it was empty sex with faceless girls while blackout drunk. I was stuck.
Two years ago I’d never written a blog post and I’d never made money on the internet. I’d never travelled East of Europe.
Today I live in Asia, live off online income, and over 10,000 people read my website every month. I have more options with women than I need or even want.
Are these incredible, awe-inspiring achievements? Of course not. But if you’d told me two years ago that in 2015 I’d be living the life I do today, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.
Is my life ‘perfect’? Again – of course not. I have problems just like everyone else, and sometimes they seem overwhelming. Sometimes I feel like shit. Sometimes I doubt the worth of everything I’ve ever done.
Whether my life is perfect or not is not the point. (A ‘perfect life’ is impossible anyway..)
The point is that it’s exactly what I wanted.
I made my vision a reality.
So now I know (I know) that whatever I really want, I’ll get it. And the more times you get what you want, the better you get at knowing what you want next. You get that, then you get the next thing – and your life keeps getting better and better.
When I was younger I read self improvement blogs written by guys who were jacked, banged a lot of girls, traveled, or made money on the internet. I was none of those things and thought to myself, Woah, wouldn’t that be cool.
Now that’s me. Isn’t that crazy?
I made my vision a reality.
Today, it’s not my vision anymore. This is a stepping stone and I’m dreaming bigger, all the time.
But you too can get exactly what you want, when you decide and commit to it.
Within a year or two you could have exactly what you want right now.
Of course then you’ll start wanting something else, but that’s just how it goes.
Is your life right now the same as it was a year ago? Do you still want the same things? Are you still the same person?
That’s a problem – here’s how to fix it:
Stay open to opportunities; jump on them when they arise. Make better choices. Play the character of ‘you’ as well as you possibly can. And when it gets dark… keep plugging away until it gets light again. It will.
In the end there’s little more to doing something than actually just doing it. There’s no secret. Learn – do – learn – do. Get what you want – want something else – get what you want – want something else.
It exists in your mind, then it exists right in front of you.
But that’s up to you.
What are you waiting for?
